If you are looking for an alternative holiday, why not consider staying in one of our tipis on the beautiful Isle of Wight? We are located at Roebeck Camping at Upton, between the village of Havenstreet and the town of Ryde. The rural  location will give you the opportunity to unwind and experience life in an indian tipi.

Please Note: Dogs and pets are not permitted in the tipis, so we do not accept bookings for tipis from parties who want to bring dogs or pets.

• Easy access to other attractions across the Island and for exploring the Isle of Wight by foot, bike or car.
• Convenient for Portsmouth and Southampton ferry routes.
• The tipis are located in a separate area of this well equipped campsite.
• Toilet and shower block and laundry room a short distance away.
• A washing up area with microwave, kettle and fridge.

The tipis are fited with a thick groundsheet and matting. Camp beds are supplied as standard in the tipis.

Tipi Sizes:

Our tipis are 18'/5.5 m diameter and sleep up to six adults comfortably.

What you need to bring with you and what is provided on site:

General

You will need to bring the following:

• A sleeping bag.
• A torch as parts of the site are quite dark.

Cooking

We provide you with a simple gas camping stove and pans free of charge. The only cost involved is additional gas supply which costs £2.50 per can and this lasts for about two hours of cooking. There is also a wood burner close to the tipis that can be used for barbecues or camp fires. Firewood is available on site for £4 a bag. Please bring your own cutlery, plates, cups and your personal effects.

Keeping Warm in the Tipis

The tipis will keep you sheltered from the elements, but in the early spring and autumn, the tipis can get a little cold a night. The tipis have an electric outlet in them, and electric heating is available on request.
